Please note: This role will be site based 5 days a week in North Acton, London. NW10

The scope of this role is to assist the Compliance department to ensure the business is compliant with legislation, industry standards and approved codes of practice in all areas of the business and to support continue certification to ISO, NACOSS Gold and other safety related certifications.

What you'll be doing as our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Officer
  • Conduct and ensure the general admin of audits and ensure that close outs are being conducted.
  • Work as part of a team to achieve compliance in CHAS, Safe contractor, CCS, and other safety orientated construction accreditations.
  • Admin of keeping up to date on accreditations - to be split with EHS manager, this will include organizing the audits, following up on the closes outs and gathering the information.
  • ISO experience to be proven by helping to organize audits and ensure company is ready. (Preferable ISO9001/14001/27001 experience)
  • Utilising experience in construction industry to maintain a company presence on site and ensure Onnec RAMS are being kept up to date and fulfilled.
  • Fulfil PPQ requirements and help organize the database that we currently use.
  • Aid in incident investigation and provide succinct RCA when necessary, fulfilling an adequate investigation process.
  • Fulfil completed quality assurance and compliance checks and have had experience in checking documentation and spotting issues.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.

Essential

  • Relevant experience working in EHS Compliance
  • You will have knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality practices and have the ability to communicate legislative requirements.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work with all departments across the business
  • Good communication skill and the ability to deliver presentations on safety and general compliance to ONNEC personnel and external audiences if required.
  • Comfortable working in association with the construction industry.
  • Relevant degree would be desirable in an environmental discipline (Degree in env science, civil engineering, construction related discipline)
  • Working towards (or have achieved graduate level IOSH membership)
