Job Description:

MCS Group is looking for a proactive and skilled Environmental & Facilities Engineer to support the management and maintenance of all on-site facilities and services for a leading manufacturing company based in the Greater Belfast area.

In this diverse role, you'll work across plant infrastructure, environmental systems, and site services, delivering improvements in compliance, cost, and efficiency.

You will:

• Ensure all plant and facility systems comply with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Manage service contracts including water, compressors, forklifts, cranes, heating, and waste management.
• Develop and maintain environmental databases for reporting and investigate environmental incidents.
• Lead environmental audits and support compliance activities (e.g., ISO 14001, PPC).
• Drive initiatives to reduce energy use, waste, and environmental impact.
• Coordinate with suppliers for equipment and service sourcing.
• Prepare technical specifications, review tenders, and present capital proposals.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies for audits, permits, and funding.
• Identify and lead implementation of cost-saving projects.
• Conduct risk and compliance assessments in environmental and facilities operations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, PPC).
