BB&E, an engineering and consulting firm, seeks an Environmental Engineering Support Specialist for the RAF Mildenhall, UK project. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.
BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Environmental Engineering Support Specialist to join our team, providing technical and engineering support for our Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron (100 CES) located at Royal Air Force Mildenhall (RAF), UK.
Manage the environmental compliance and planning phases of assigned surge projects
Assist in drafting AF Form 813 workflows, project design integration, and track project mitigation requirements across all phases of the project lifecycle
Manage site/facility environmental reviews; to analyze and interpret technical data, UK environmental rules, and planning laws; and to draft timely, compliant, and technically sound project recommendations for the government project manager
Organize technical tasks, synthesize data across multiple environmental and engineering disciplines, and communicate complex technical compliance information effectively, both orally and in writing, to facilitate stakeholder and regulatory coordination
Key Qualifications
Ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC is required
Certifications: Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or UK equivalent) and/or a relevant environmental certification is not required, but highly desired.
Knowledge
Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines autonomously
Experience & Education
Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of professional-level experience in project management, with a demonstrated focus on environmental project management, EIAP/NEPA compliance, and regulatory comment resolution is required
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand/walk/climb/kneel/crouch and remain in a stationary position/sit at least 60% of the time
Ability to operate office equipment, including computer, copy machine, phone, etc.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
Capable of lifting up to 10 lbs.
