Position: Environmental Engineer at WEPA

As an Environmental Engineer at WEPA, you will play a critical role in ensuring our plant operations comply with all environmental regulations. Your work will directly contribute to the sustainable practices of our organisation, helping us maintain and advance our sustainability strategy.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all processes adhere to environmental regulations and standards.
  2. Oversee and optimise processes to minimise environmental impact, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and other relevant standards.
  3. Maintain accurate records and reports related to environmental performance and compliance.
  4. Manage and coordinate critical processes such as waste and water treatment plants.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Safety, and Quality, to integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of the business.
  6. Identify and implement opportunities for improving environmental performance.

Your profile:

  1. A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in an environmental role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including ISO 14001 (essential) and ISO 50001 (desirable).
  4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  5. Ability to analyse data and develop strategies for improvement.
