Job summary

Planet Environmental Enforcement is seeking an Environmental Enforcement Officer in Bristol. The role involves patrolling the Corn Exchange area and partnering with Bristol Council to issue on-the-spot fixed penalty notices for littering and dog fouling, and other offences witnessed.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided, and a DBS check including a five-year history is required before employment. The role supports community safety and environmental crime reduction.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• DBS check required with a full five-year checkable work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence to deter crime and reassure the local authority.
• Conduct patrol duties on foot and by car.
• Issue fixed penalty notices (FPNS) for littering, dog fouling and other offences.
• Conduct initial investigations, gather evidence, and prepare statements.
• Attend and give evidence in court and at hearings.
• Gather, record, and analyse intelligence to achieve environmental crime reduction objectives.
