Job summary

Kingdom Local Authority Support is seeking an Environmental Enforcement Officer for the Dartford area. This field-based role involves enforcing environmental laws, promoting compliance, and improving public spaces to tackle environmental crime and enhance community safety.

You will conduct patrols, issue penalties, gather evidence, and support courts as needed, with full training and career development opportunities offered by Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Attend court proceedings when required.
• Report concerns to relevant departments and maintain auditable records.
• Manage photographic and body-worn video evidence and documentation.
• Complete administrative duties in line with procedures.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENFORCEMENT OFFICER

Location: Dartford – DA1 area
Pay: £13.97 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Monday to Sunday – 07:00–15:00 or 08:00–16:00
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)

About the Role

Kingdom Local Authority Support is looking for confident, professional, and proactive Environmental Enforcement Officers to support the local community in Dartford.

This is a field-based role where you will carry out enforcement duties, promote compliance with environmental legislation, and help improve public spaces. You will play a key role in tackling environmental crime and supporting community safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out foot patrols across public areas to identify environmental offences
• Enforcing regulations relating to littering, fly-tipping, and anti-social behaviour
• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) using handheld devices or manual systems
• Investigating incidents and gathering evidence for potential prosecutions
• Attending court proceedings where required
• Reporting environmental and community safety concerns to relevant departments
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and audit trails
• Managing photographic and body-worn video evidence
• Completing administrative duties in line with procedures
