Environmental Enforcement Manager - London

Salary: £32.19 per hour

Type: Full-time, Temporary

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Enforcement Manager to lead and oversee the Environmental Enforcement Team across the Borough of Lewisham. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service delivery, managing environmental nuisance and crime cases, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership, direction, and effective management of the Enforcement Team.
  2. Manage and resolve environmental nuisance and crime cases, ensuring responsiveness to residents and businesses.
  3. Embed a culture of accountability and personal responsibility among enforcement staff.
  4. Oversee daily operations, including staff management, agency workers, and service providers.
  5. Support strategic planning and provide advice on environmental enforcement issues to senior management.
  6. Ensure compliance with legislation related to environmental crime, abandoned vehicles, licensing, and other relevant provisions.
