Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking an Enabling Lead to head the enabling discipline within our programme areas in a hybrid Peterborough-based role.

You will identify, assess, and manage environmental and consenting risks across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and non‑infrastructure projects, ensuring permits and licences are in place and embedding a Right First Time approach. You will work closely with design, engineering, and construction teams, regulators, land agents, local authorities

Qualifications

• Experience using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for geoprocessing and data visualization.
• Demonstrable interest in environmental issues.
• Effective written and verbal communication and strong organisational/analytical skills.
• Experience recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
• Ability to multi-task, stay flexible, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enabling discipline across allocated programme areas to manage environmental and consenting risks.
• Ensure consistency of approach, risk management, and smooth delivery from feasibility to construction completion.
• Integrate environmental and planning considerations from the outset to reduce risk and delays.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction teams, regulators, land agents, local authorities and environmental specialists.
• Promote responsible development and maintain Anglian Water’s reputation within the IMRDS Alliance.
