We work closely with specialists and other professionals to develop proposals that enhance the environment and communities, aiming for benefits like improved habitats, cleaner air and water, and lower carbon emissions. We also collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure practices meet commitments. The role is ideal for proactive individuals seeking career progression.

The role involves influencing, managing, and delivering environmental aspects of engineering projects across sectors such as rail, highways, energy, and commercial/residential development, from feasibility to handover.

Responsibilities
  • Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers, and colleagues
  • Collaborating with environmental specialists, clients, and engineering teams to promote sustainable design and environmental enhancement
  • Managing delivery of environmental inputs, including EIA screening, scoping, constraints studies, management plans, and Environmental Statements
  • Overseeing project performance in technical, quality, commercial, and safety aspects
  • Building client relationships and identifying support opportunities in resourcing, programming, and strategy
  • Supporting business development through proposals and strategic bids

  • Contributing to business success while being self-motivated towards goals

  • Experience with EIA processes and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of environmental and planning legislation
  • Post-qualification experience in environmental assessments on various projects

  • Experience liaising with teams, clients, and external bodies
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing and attention to detail
