A leading contractor in oil & gas and renewable energy is seeking an experienced Environmental Co-ordinator for a contract role in North Wales. The ideal candidate will implement HSE management systems and manage site environmental issues. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in related projects and a degree in environmental engineering. This role offers 5.5 days of on-site work per week, with start date ASAP.

About

Environmental Co-ordinator required for an ongoing contract role, working on behalf of our client, a leading oil & gas/renewable energy contractor. This role will be based on the site of a new carbon capture & storage project in North Wales. Candidates must have at least 5 years experience working on offshore/onshore oil & gas sector projects.

As Environmental Coordinator, you will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the Company HSE guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Implement construction environmental management plan for onshore and offshore activities
  • Review and monitor subcontractor compliance to environmental requirements
  • Manage site environmental issues
  • Coordinate and communicate with environmental agencies, local authorities, internal company departments, and relevant external stakeholders
  • Perform project environmental activities such as completing ENVID, Environmental Plans, Environmental Reporting including data analysis and investigations
  • Conduct onsite activities such as audits, training, inspections, and produce reports and data
Qualifications/Experience Required
  • BEng or BSc in environmental engineering or similar
  • 5-8 years in offshore and onshore projects
  • ISO 140001 Lead Auditor
