Tetra Tech Europe is seeking an Environmental Consultant in the NALO field to deliver surveys, modelling and assessments across noise, air quality, lighting and odour. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, produce technical reports, and support planning and mitigation activities within a flexible hybrid environment.
The role emphasizes client relationships, project delivery, and contributing to growth while traveling as needed and staying compliant with regulatory requirements.
Shape a healthier, more sustainable built environment through science, engineering and technical innovation. Join Tetra Tech's NALO team and work on diverse, high-profile projects across the UK and Europe. From major infrastructure and sustainable energy developments to residential, healthcare and commercial schemes, you'll help clients understand and manage environmental impacts through robust technical assessments and practical solutions.
As an Environmental Consultant, you'll deliver environmental surveys, assessments and technical advice across noise, acoustics, air quality, lighting and odour. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to projects from initial investigations and modelling through to reporting, planning support and mitigation. You'll build trusted client relationships while developing your technical expertise and supporting the growth of our consultancy services.
You'll combine scientific knowledge, practical fieldwork and consultancy skills to deliver high-quality, commercially sound projects. From preparing technical reports and proposals to managing budgets, deadlines and client expectations, you'll help deliver solutions that meet regulatory requirements and make a tangible difference to the built environment.
You'll have a strong academic background, ideally in a scientific discipline, and around one to two years’ consultancy experience in a relevant environmental field. Field survey experience and knowledge of applicable legislation, policy and guidance are desirable. Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institute of Acoustics or Institute of Air Quality Management, is advantageous. A full driving licence and flexibility to travel are required.
Our projects involve collaboration across offices and client sites, with opportunities for flexible working where project needs allow. Office attendance and hybrid arrangements will depend on the team and role requirements; flexible hours, reduced hours and remote-working options can also be discussed.
At Tetra Tech, you'll join a collaborative, inclusive team backed by global expertise, with opportunities to develop your career and make a meaningful environmental impact.
