Job description

As part of the Environmental Compliance team, you will help assess compliance against activities such as water discharges, air emissions, and waste legislation, increasing our focus on compliance.

You will utilize sources like site audit reports, permit assessments, and incident reviews to identify improvement actions.

What you’ll be doing as an Environmental Compliance Specialist
  • Lead environmental compliance assessments via CAS for permitted sites/activities.
  • Assist in developing CAS as the central repository for compliance actions.
  • Ensure non-conformances from EMS site audits are logged in CAS.
  • Maintain and improve our CAS tool with Power BI, PowerApps, and SharePoint, with support from Digital Teams.
  • Build relationships across units to ensure accurate compliance assessments.
  • Provide compliance reports to stakeholders.
  • Present compliance performance at various forums, including to site managers and directors.
What you should bring to the role
  • Experience in environmental permitting or compliance.
  • Experience with Environmental Management Systems.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience with Power BI and Power Apps for report development.
  • Understanding of wastewater treatment and pumping processes.
  • Environmental or science-related qualification.
  • Knowledge of water discharge and waste permits is desirable.
