Are you an environmental professional with a passion for regulatory compliance and permitting? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Compliance Consultant to join a growing technical team working at the intersection of energy, sustainability, and environmental regulation.

As an Environmental Compliance Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality consultancy services to a broad range of clients. The position requires a strong foundation in environmental permitting processes and applications—particularly for schemes such as the Medium Combustion Plant Directive (MCPD), D1 Stack Calculations, and Part B permits. Your input will be essential in guiding clients through complex regulatory frameworks and ensuring successful accreditation and ongoing compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of permitting applications with Local Authorities and the Environment Agency.
  • Develop and present Environmental Management Systems tailored to client needs.
  • Support clients with applications and audits related to renewable energy schemes such as RHI, FiT, ROC, and Green Gas Support Scheme.
  • Interpret and convey the implications of energy and environmental policies in a client-friendly manner.
  • Carry out site visits and remote assessments to gather compliance data and prepare technical reports.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects across energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental performance.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve permitting and compliance issues and provide ongoing technical support.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in environmental permitting, including MCPD, D1, and Part B applications.
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory bodies and environmental compliance standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort working in both independent and collaborative settings.

Benefits:

In addition to a competitive salary, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), pension scheme, life assurance, private healthcare cash plan, and professional membership support.

Take your career to the next level with a team that values technical excellence, client service, and real-world environmental impact. Apply now and make a difference in the world of energy and environmental compliance.
