    We are looking to recruit an Environmental DNA Business Development Manager who will be responsible for leading sales and marketing activities, identifying and engaging customers, securing commitments from, and generating new profitable revenues within the Environmental DNA (eDNA) sector. This is a new and exciting revenue-focused, business development / sales role. The role will involve a blend of working from home and visiting customers and SGS laboratories across the UK.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, understand industry trends, and analyse competitor activities.
    • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster long-term partnerships.
    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies that align with the company's revenue growth goals and market objectives.
    • Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and other gatherings to expand the company's reach and influence, collaborating with colleagues across SGS to promote services.

    The ideal candidate will have either an in-depth understanding of the eDNA market or a transferable experience in a similar sector. A strong sales focus and drive to succeed in securing new business are essential.
