Environmental Sustainability Advisor

Plymouth, with commutable options from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton

Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits

Overview: An excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in mechanical systems design to join a market-leading, international manufacturing company. The company is well-established and highly regarded in Plymouth, known for quality products and progressive employment practices. This role is key to ensuring legal compliance and driving environmental and sustainability improvements across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and develop the ISO14001 management system, ensure environmental legal compliance, and implement sustainability initiatives.
• Manage external contractors, waste management, agencies, and liaise with local authorities.
• Collaborate with an intern, H&S manager, and Sustainability manager.
• Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm, with a 3:30pm finish on Fridays.

Candidate Profile:

• Experienced Environmental and Sustainability specialist from the manufacturing industry.
• Skilled in calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 carbon emissions and initiating reduction actions.
