Job summary

Environmental Advisor role within our Civil Engineering Division focuses on providing environmental support across construction projects in energy, renewables and infrastructure. You will conduct site inspections, ensure compliance with legislation and client requirements, and promote continual environmental improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience supporting live construction projects.
• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology or related discipline.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation relevant to construction in Scotland/UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor compliance and provide practical environmental advice to site teams.
• Support project teams at pre-construction and construction phases to ensure permits and conditions are met.
• Develop Construction Environmental Management Plans and Pollution Prevention Plans.
• Liaise with clients, SEPA and local authorities.
• Investigate environmental incidents, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide training and toolbox talks to promote environmental awareness.
