Job description

Make a real impact in environmental protection and enhancement.

We’re looking for someone who wants to help protect and restore nature and the environment on abandoned metal mine sites across Wales.

You’ll be part of diverse and supportive project teams working on the Wales Metal Mines Programme (WMMP) a major initiative focused on reducing river pollution while protecting and enhancing world class mining heritage, often in stunning natural landscape settings.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing clear, practical advice on environmental protection, sustainability and regulatory compliance
  • Leading and supporting detailed and targeted environmental surveys and assessments
  • Helping project teams understand and apply environmental regulations, procedures and policies
  • Reviewing and interpreting reports and data from external consultants
  • Supporting the integration of sustainability and nature recovery plans into our work
