This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald. Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy Mott MacDonald.

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services, combining JN Bentley's contracting expertise with Mott MacDonald's design specialisms.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but involves working across both Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley teams.

Role Overview

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting an Environmental Advisor for the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA).

The SPA project involves constructing a 330km pipeline, with an additional 260km of pipelines planned for delivery during AMP8.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site environmental support during pre-construction and construction phases.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legislation and SPA requirements.
  • Assist in the delivery of environmental priorities and documentation.
  • Support environmental surveying and consenting processes for future projects.

Key Tasks

  • Ensure compliance with legislation and SPA standards.
  • Perform site inspections and audits.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to construction teams.
  • Collaborate across contracts to deliver environmental management plans.
  • Develop and deliver environmental training.
  • Investigate environmental incidents and near misses.
  • Support project planning and permit applications.

Candidate Profile
