Full Circle Technical Recruitment is partnering with a leading design and build engineering contractor to hire an Environmental Planner to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Thames region. The role sits in the project development team, providing environmental planning, consenting and permitting expertise from feasibility through construction.

• Experience in environmental planning, environmental consenting or environmental management.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation, planning processes and environmental permitting.
• Experience in water, wastewater, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsabilidades

• Advise project teams on environmental planning, consenting and permitting requirements.
• Identify environmental constraints, surveys and assessments required during project development.
• Support Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening and planning applications.
• Coordinate environmental risk reviews and environmental constraints mapping.
• Liaise with environmental consultants, Local Planning Authorities, regulators and statutory consultees.
• Coordinate environmental consents and permits, including Environment Agency approvals, Flood Risk Activity Permits and Ordinary Watercourse Consents.
• Support applications relating to protected trees, hedgerows and public rights of way.
• Advise on consenting timescales and environmental requirements affecting project programmes.
• Work with design and engineering teams to develop solutions that address environmental constraints.
• Support biodiversity requirements and coordinate environmental deliverables ahead of construction.

We are working with a leading design and build engineering contractor to recruit an Environmental Planner to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Thames region.

This position sits within the project development team, providing environmental planning, consenting and permitting expertise to support projects from initial feasibility and design through to construction.

Working alongside engineers, designers, project managers and environmental specialists, you will help identify environmental constraints, coordinate statutory approvals and ensure environmental requirements are considered early in project development.

The Role:

• Advise project teams on environmental planning, consenting and permitting requirements.
• Identify environmental constraints, surveys and assessments required during project development.

Ideally, you'll have

• Experience in environmental planning, environmental consenting or environmental management.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation, planning processes and environmental permitting.
• Experience within water, wastewater, utilities, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The ability to coordinate environmental assessments and manage multiple project requirements.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

A degree or qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Town Planning or a related discipline would be beneficial, alongside experience of environmental project management.
