Qualifications

  • Environmental qualification.
  • Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor within the railway, construction, highways or utilities industries.
  • Understanding of UK legislation governing environmental management.
  • Appreciation of Network Rail standards.
  • Member of IEMA.
  • Driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on all things environmental across the business.
  • Maintain and share a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards.
  • Create and review Environmental and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and Incident Response Plans.
  • Review environmental management requirements.
  • Put together consent applications and pre-application consultations.
  • Ensure all environmental data is recorded correctly and available for review.
  • Develop and deliver environmental training.

Job description

Experts in railway electrification engineering across the UK and Europe require an experienced Environmental Advisor to join their team in the Glasgow area.

Tasks:

  • Provide advice on all things environmental across the business
  • Maintain and share a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, such asNR015-L2-ENV-015
  • Create and review Environmental and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans andIncident Response Plans, including all relevant documentation
  • Reviewenvironmental management requirements
  • Put together consent applications and pre-application consultations
  • Ensure all environmental data is recorded correctly and available for review
  • Develop and deliver environmental training, covering toolbox talks, specific training courses and site inspections

Requirements:

  • Environmental qualification
  • Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor within the railway, construction, highways or utilities industries
  • Understanding of UK legislation governing environmental management
