Job description

Tasks

• Provide advice on all things environmental across the business
• Maintain and share a strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, such as NR015-L2-ENV-015
• Create and review Environmental and Social Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and Incident Response Plans, including all relevant documentation
• Review environmental management requirements
• Put together consent applications and pre-application consultations
• Ensure all environmental data is recorded correctly and available for review
• Develop and deliver environmental training, covering toolbox talks, specific training courses and site inspections

Requirements

• Environmental qualification
• Previous experience as an Environmental Advisor within the railway, construction, highways or utilities industries
• Understanding of UK legislation governing environmental management
• Appreciation of Network Rail standards
• Member of IEMA
• Driving licence
