Role Overview:

We seek an experienced Test Environment Manager to oversee our test environments within a modernization program transitioning from monolithic to microservices architecture. This role involves managing, maintaining, and evolving test environments to support strategic goals, ensuring reliable, scalable testing platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and support test environment strategies aligned with modernization goals.
  2. Manage setup, configuration, and maintenance of test environments, including documentation and resource planning.
  3. Provide support and troubleshooting for environment issues, acting as liaison among development, QA, and support teams.
  4. Implement automation for environment provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
  5. Monitor environment performance, develop metrics, and report on health and usage.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate updates effectively.
  7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and stay updated on industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years managing test environments, with at least 2 years specifically with OpenShift Linux.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure cloud, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting, Linux OS, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab), and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
