Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Sub Agent for our Environment business in the West Yorkshire area, including Rotherham/Braithwell/Normanton. The role involves managing site programmes, ensuring HSEQ compliance, and coordinating with the site team and supply chain across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates will have an ONC/HNC/B.Eng. or NVQ, SMSTS, CSCS, and water-industry experience, with strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC/B.Eng. or NVQ equivalent
• IOSH or CITB 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS)
• CSCS card
• Experience in water industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Team player but can also work independently
• Time management to meet deadlines
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills (email/phone/face to face)
• Can-do attitude and support to team

Responsibilities

• General site management including producing and managing the programme and supervising delivery
• Ensure day-to-day compliance of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
• Keep site diaries and records up to date
• Monthly and weekly reporting
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors
• Manage a section of works and supervise the site team & supply chain
• Progress and performance reporting to Project Manager
• Ensure RAMS, Permit to Work, site inductions and safety briefings are carried out
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inspections and audits and produce reports
• Produce and maintain QA file
