We have a newly created opportunity for a Environment, Safety and Sustainability (ESS) Adviser to join our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team at RBL on a 12-month contract basis.
Working across all areas of the organisation, this role will be an integral part of the SHEQ team, responsible for supporting the implementation and compliance of the environmental management system, health and safety compliance, and sustainability initiatives across the RBL Group and partner charities.
Promoting a positive environmental and safety culture, you will work with colleagues to ensure an environmentally aware workplace that complies with legislative requirements and aims to reduce environmental impact. You will also ensure a safe working environment with established safe working procedures.

This role is a 12-month fixed-term position, starting immediately or on short notice. Internal applicants should discuss their application with their line manager and obtain approval.
You will hold current Environmental and H&S qualifications and a full driving license. Membership of IEMA and/or IOSH is advantageous. You should have demonstrable multi-site experience in operational environmental and H&S roles, with good knowledge of statutory environment requirements, regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
This position is based at your home address with remote work, and occasional travel to RBL sites, including care homes.
