Play a key role in the digital transformation of a FTSE 250 business that’s on an exciting journey of growth and innovation. The IT team within this organisation is modernizing core business systems, and the role of Environment and Release Manager is an important position within that team, which will grow in importance as the business expands and new projects and programmes emerge.
The Role
As Environment and Release Manager, you will be an integral part of the IT team, ensuring high-quality project deliveries, working on transformation programmes that form the basis of the organisation’s technical strategy, in cloud and data centre environments. The role will expand to oversee releases across all business systems (ERP/CRM/HCM). The focus is on driving consistency and quality in system deliveries, managing the end-to-end release cycle, and collaborating with all parties to ensure successful implementations.
You?
We're looking for a proven track record of managing environments and releases, grounded in experience as an Application Environment Engineer or similar role, preferably within CRM transformation programmes (specifically MS D365 CRM). This is the largest programme within the IT estate and will be the primary focus initially.
Relevant Azure certifications and a strong understanding of release management processes, methodologies, and tools are required, along with demonstrable experience of Application Lifecycle Management.
Proficiency in release management and project management tools, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels are essential.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with SaaS (D365, NetSuite, ServiceNow) solutions and related technologies is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a great culture and to shape its technological future. If you possess the above skills, we’d love to hear from you.
