Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Environment Manager to lead environmental assurance for a major tunnelling and civil engineering programme in Central and West London. Hybrid work is offered (3 days on site / 2 from home) with long-term progression across live sites.

You will review contractor submissions, monitor compliance with environmental legislation, and work with regulators, local authorities and delivery teams to manage waste, noise, dust, air quality and water risks.

Qualifications

• Experience in major infrastructure, tunnelling or complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and environmental management.
• Experience in live construction environments and reviewing environmental plans.

Responsibilities

• Providing client-side environmental assurance across tunnelling, shaft and civil works.
• Undertaking assurance visits across multiple live construction sites.
• Reviewing contractor environmental plans, permits, consents and submissions.
• Monitoring compliance with environmental legislation and project requirements.
• Managing waste, noise, vibration, air quality, water and pollution risks.
• Challenging performance and ensuring mitigation measures are implemented.
• Supporting stage gates, audits, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborating with regulators, authorities and project teams.
