We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environment Manager to join our reputable client in the East of Scotland & North of England area for energy projects.

As an Environment Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all environmental aspects of major energy transition & infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement environmental management plans for major energy transition projects, ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.

- Identify potential risks and mitigation measures.

- Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and decision-making processes.

- Monitor and track environmental performance of projects, and provide regular reports to senior management.

- Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and community groups, to ensure open communication and compliance with environmental requirements.

- Stay up-to-date with relevant environmental legislation and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.

- Manage and train a team of environmental specialists and consultants, providing guidance and support as needed.

- Oversee the implementation of environmental monitoring programs and conduct regular site inspections to identify any potential issues.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management

- Solid knowledge of environmental regulations and legislation in the UK.

- Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing environmental management plans.

- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.

- Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.

- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
