Environment Manager – IT, Azure, Dynamics, Microsoft-centric software environments

Location:

Birmingham

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: 1 day a week in the office

Role Summary:

We are seeking an Environment Manager to oversee our Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CE & Finance), Optimizely, and Microsoft 365 environments. You will manage onboarding, provisioning, and daily operations, ensuring alignment with IT and business needs. This role is approximately 70% hands-on.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee IT environments for efficiency and compliance.
2. Collaborate with offshore DevOps team on builds, packaging, and deployments.
3. Manage environment governance, change control, and documentation.
4. Chair the Environment Management Group (EMG) and lead optimisation strategies.
5. Support monitoring, updates, and performance of production and test environments.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in environment management, including provisioning and maintenance aligned with business needs.
2. Experience managing Microsoft-centric software environments.
3. Deep knowledge of Azure platform services, including delivering solutions using these services.
4. Proficiency with Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Portal and Log Analytics.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with Dynamics 365 CE & Finance, SharePoint Online, Power BI, and cloud cost optimisation strategies is a plus.
