Job Description:

Role description: To lead Environmental, Health and Safety policy, procedures, and culture within Habasit UK (Production unit, Assembly centre, and Field service activities).

Your main challenges:

1. Lead the development of a strong Health and Safety focused culture across Habasit UK, promoting good safety behaviors.
2. Manage EHS policy and management system, maintaining and developing it in line with business objectives.
3. Develop and implement site-specific EHS programs, including emergency preparedness, fire protection, electrical safety, hazardous waste management, EHS training, ergonomics, contractor safety, machine protection, chemical safety, PPE, and crisis management.
4. Implement and oversee workplace inspections and internal audits in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, initiating corrective actions as needed.
5. Manage environmental programs related to permits, waste management, and wastewater.
6. Oversee environmental initiatives to minimize organizational impact.
7. Assess contractor processes to ensure compliance with EHS standards and targets.
8. Coordinate with regulators, consultants, and bodies to ensure compliance and best practices, acting as point of contact for audits.
9. Ensure management review of EHS systems, incorporating improvements based on legislative and performance reviews.
10. Support HR in injury and illness procedures and cases.
11. Develop programs to reduce injury rates and investigate workplace incidents.
12. Collaborate with site managers to identify risks and implement safe work procedures.
13. Lead safety meetings and management forums.
14. Coordinate external training and wellbeing initiatives with HR.
