With a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a dedicated HSEQ Manager to lead and continually improve our health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Role Overview:
The HSEQ & ESG Manager will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our HSEQ and ESG strategies. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legislation, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability, and aligning our operations with best practices in corporate responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety: (H&S)
- Develop, implement, and maintain H&S policies and procedures in line with UK legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and incident investigations.
- Deliver H&S training and develop toolbox talks to operational teams.
- Monitor and report on H&S performance metrics and KPIs.
- Ensure COSHH compliance and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Environmental & Sustainability: (E)
- Lead initiatives to reduce the company’s environmental impact, working closely with suppliers and clients to promote opportunities for environmental options.
- Liaise with our Carbon Footprint consultant partner and gather data for carbon footprint calculations.
- Maintain and improve ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Track and report on carbon emissions and support carbon reduction strategies, gathering data and evidence that supports our progress.
- Promote environmentally responsible cleaning practices and oversee current and future projects.
- Lead on environmental awareness with employees and teams within the company.
- Review and report on the company's sustainability Action plan.
Social Responsibility: (S)
- Work with our People Dept to champion employee wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Support community engagement and charitable activities.
- Ensure ethical labour practices across the supply chain.
Governance: (G)
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Prepare ESG reports and contribute to tenders and client ESG questionnaires.
- Liaise with senior leadership to embed ESG into business strategy.
- Complete Safe Contractor submission for H&S and Sustainability.
Qualifications & Experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
- Experience in HSEQ roles, ideally within facilities management or cleaning services.
- Knowledge and experience of ESG management.
- ISO management systems experience (9001, 14001).
- Strong communication, organisation, training, and stakeholder engagement skills.
