Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Dungannon is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE activities and ensure compliance in a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in HSE management, preferably in food manufacturing, and holds a NEBOSH Certificate. This role offers a great opportunity for ownership of the HSE function with the support of a solid leadership team.

HSE Manager

Location: Dungannon

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)

Sector: Food Manufacturing / FMCG

We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business in Dungannon to recruit a Health & Safety Manager. This is a key site-based role responsible for leading Health & Safety across the operation, ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and promoting a strong safety culture across all teams.

The site operates in a fast-paced food production environment, so the right person will be hands-on, proactive, and confident working closely with operations, technical and site leadership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead site Health & Safety activity, including policies, risk assessments, audits, and training
  • Drive site compliance with all HSE legislation and internal standards
  • Work closely with department managers to promote safe working and continuous improvement
  • Investigate incidents, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and drive root cause analysis
  • Monitor, report and analyse HSE performance data and KPIs
  • Support wider business initiatives including wellbeing, sustainability and team engagement

What they’re looking for:

  • Strong experience in a Health & Safety role within manufacturing or a similar environment
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum (Diploma or working towards would be a plus)
  • Confident managing HSE compliance independently
  • Good communicator, able to influence at all levels and promote a positive safety culture
  • Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing is desirable
