Environment Health and Safety Advisor, Reading

Oracle is seeking an Environment Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor based in Reading, United Kingdom. This in-office role involves developing and maintaining effective EHS policies and systems to ensure the safety of employees, contractors, and others affected by Oracle's activities. Some travel within the UK and EMEA is expected.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum five years of health and safety advisory experience
• Formal qualification in health and safety (degree or NEBOSH Diploma)
• Working towards Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to integrating health and safety into daily practice

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies, policies, and plans for occupational health and safety
• Manage and promote EHS programs aligned with corporate objectives
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of health and safety systems
• Provide professional support and advice on health and safety issues
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and professional organizations
• Ensure quality assurance in health and safety administration
• Leverage technology to improve policies and procedures
• Investigate accidents and incidents, recommending preventive measures
• Foster a positive safety culture and management ownership
• Engage staff in safe behaviors and workplaces
• Coordinate external training for managers
• Conduct site inspections, prepare reports, and advise management
• Stay updated on statutory provisions and develop professional skills
• Support the creation of annual EHS budgets and reports
• Collaborate with global and regional EHS teams to share best practices
