Job summary

Lighthouse Games is a new AAA studio in Leamington Spa aiming to build a best-in-class game. As an Environment Artist, you will craft immersive worlds, mentor peers, and collaborate with the art and engineering teams to ensure visuals meet high standards.

You will contribute to style consistency, performance optimization, and the development of new techniques to elevate the environment art pipeline within a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and collaboration within a team.
• An excellent portfolio with recent Environment Art work.
• Strong understanding of shape, form and composition.
• Proficiency with Maya, 3DS Max, Blender and texturing tools.
• Experience producing optimized 3D assets for games.
• Ability to mentor others and contribute to pipeline improvements.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and textures of environmental assets such as buildings, terrain, vegetation, and props.
• Ensure environments are visually consistent with art style and technical guidelines.
• Collaborate with level design and lighting to integrate assets effectively.
• Develop and implement new techniques to improve quality and efficiency of the environment art pipeline.
• Stay current with industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Maintain clear communication to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Work with Technical Artist and Engineering to optimize assets for performance.
• Participate in critiques and reviews to maintain high quality standards.
