Trainee Traffic Installation Technician (Gloucestershire, UK, On-site)

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region in all weather conditions.

If you have electrical installation knowledge or experience, hold an Electrical Engineering diploma or certificate, and are looking to start a new career with structured training, this opportunity is for you.

Join our engineering team to gain hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and testing traffic signals and electrical components, with training leading to NVQ Level 2 and 3 certifications, as well as sector-specific certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are: You have an interest in field-based engineering, some exposure to electrical installations, or are eager to start a career in this field. Experience is not necessary; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.

Key requirements:

• Motivation and eagerness to learn
• Experience or qualification in electrical installations
• Problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions
• Full UK Driving License
• Good communication skills and computer literacy
• Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing
