Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Trainee Traffic Installation Technician

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel and work in all weather conditions.

This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, especially if you have electrical installation knowledge or a relevant diploma/certificate. We provide structured training leading to NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, along with sector certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Responsibilities include:

Working with experienced Traffic Engineers to install, maintain, and test Traffic Signals and Lighting units and electrical components around Gloucestershire.

Training includes on-the-job learning, desk-based, and online modules, culminating in industry-recognized qualifications.

Ideal candidate:

Interested in field engineering with some exposure to electrical installations, or eager to start a new career. No prior experience necessary but preferred.
