Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel and work in all weather conditions.
This role offers hands-on experience, especially for those with electrical installation knowledge or a related diploma/certificate, looking to start a career in traffic systems. The position includes structured training towards NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, and sector certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Interested in field-based engineering with some exposure to electrical installations, or eager to start a new career with the right attitude and motivation.
- Motivation and willingness to learn
- Experience or qualification in electrical installations
- Problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Good communication skills and computer literacy
- Willing to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol test
