Trainee Traffic Installation Technician

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel and work in all weather conditions.

Ideal candidates will have electrical installation knowledge or experience, or a relevant diploma/certificate, and are eager to develop their skills through our structured training program, including NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations and sector certifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing, maintaining, and testing traffic signals and electrical components
• Learning on the job and through online training

Candidate requirements:

• Interest in field-based engineering
• Experience or education in electrical installations
• Problem-solving skills
• Valid UK driving license
• Good communication and computer skills
• Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing
