Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Trainee Traffic Installation Technician

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and readiness to travel and work in all weather conditions.

Are you interested in developing practical, field-based engineering skills? Do you have electrical installation knowledge or experience? Do you hold an Electrical Engineering diploma or similar qualification? Are you looking for a structured, accredited training program to advance your skills?

Join Telent's Engineering Team to work on critical infrastructure, collaborating with technical experts and contributing to vital connectivity and safety projects.

Responsibilities:

Work with experienced engineers to install, maintain, and test traffic signals and electrical components across Gloucestershire. Training includes on-the-job learning, desk-based, and online modules, leading to NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations (LANTRA), and certifications such as ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Motivated and eager to learn through practical and online training
  • Experience or qualification in electrical installations or related field
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical instructions
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Good communication skills and computer literacy
  • Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing for compliance
