Trainee Traffic Installation Technician Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring a full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region and work in all weather conditions.

Ideal candidates will have electrical installation knowledge or experience, or hold an electrical engineering diploma/certificate, and are eager to start a career in this field. We offer an accredited training program to develop your skills, including NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, as well as certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with experienced engineers to install, maintain, and test traffic signals and electrical components.
• Participating in on-the-job training, online learning, and classroom sessions.

Candidate requirements:

• Interest in field-based engineering and electrical installations.
• Experience or education in electrical work or related courses.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving license.
• Good communication skills and computer literacy.
• Willingness to undertake drug and alcohol testing.
