Trainee Traffic Installation Technician

Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting team in Gloucestershire. This is a field-based role requiring travel across the region, a full UK driving license, and the ability to work in all weather conditions.

This role offers an opportunity to develop practical experience, especially if you have electrical installation knowledge or a related diploma/certificate. The training includes on-the-job learning, online courses, and aims to achieve NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, along with sector certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Ideal candidates are those interested in field engineering, with some exposure to electrical work, or those eager to start a new career. Key requirements include motivation, problem-solving skills, a full UK driving license, good communication skills, and computer literacy. Willingness to undertake a Drugs & Alcohol test is also necessary.
