Job Description:

Protocol Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a local SEND School in Havering.

Experience is preferred, but not essential!Prior experience working with children or young people in an educational setting/ after school clubs/ drama groups/ sports clubs/ coaching jobs would be beneficial.

Job Duties:

• Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a school setting
• Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN
• Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Assisting with personal care and physical needs as required
• Monitoring and recording student progress

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Relevant experience working with children or young people
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Organisational skills and attention to detail
