Job description

Join New Era Technology as an Entry Level Support Engineer in Christchurch, providing IT support in the education sector.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT-related issues.
  • Delivering excellent customer service through face-to-face interactions and managing the ticket board.
  • Communicating effectively with non-technical users and prioritizing technical problems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Completing daily timesheets with strong attention to detail.
  • Responding to client inquiries and providing technical support via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Documenting and tracking client issues using a ticketing system.
  • Escalating unresolved issues and following up until resolution.
  • Staying updated with product knowledge and industry trends.
About You

Candidates must:

  • Be a NZ Citizen or hold permanent residency.
  • Have a NZ Driver's License (Full or Restricted).
  • Possess practical technical knowledge in supporting and implementing Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Azure Active Directory, FortiGate Firewalls, Ruckus/HP/Allied Telesis Switching, Ruckus/Aruba/HP/Aerohive Wireless, and Printers/Copiers.
