The School and the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of two partner schools in Aylesbury. These schools are seeking dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to join their vibrant teams on a permanent basis. They offer high-quality education to students with a wide range of SEND, all holding an EHCP, with excellent facilities and career development opportunities.

The roles involve supporting children and young people with SEND, including PMLD, SLD, ASC, and complex needs, covering educational, pastoral, personal care, and medical support. We seek positive, caring individuals to promote inclusion, independence, and self-esteem.

Requirements

  • Recent experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, nursery, or care setting within the last 2 years.
  • Experience or willingness to support a range of needs, including personal care with dignity.
  • Patience, sensitivity, and a caring attitude to work with vulnerable young people, including those demonstrating challenging behaviors.
  • Commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • Eligibility to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, registered with the Update Service.
