We’re currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across specialist and mainstream schools in Northumberland, supporting children with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. Full-time and part-time roles are available, typically Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs
Helping pupils access learning in a way that works for them
Supporting emotional regulation and building positive routines
Working with teachers and therapists to provide tailored, individual support
Celebrating progress, however big or small, every single day
Who we’re looking for:
You don’t need classroom experience—we’re looking for people with the right approach. If you’ve worked in care, youth work, sports coaching, or any role where you’ve supported others, your skills will transfer brilliantly. What matters most is your patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn on the job.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
