Gerrard White Consulting is seeking an Underwriter for Legal Indemnity Insurance in the UK. The role is permanent, full-time with training provided and entry-level salary dependent on experience.

You will review enquiries, assess risk, prepare quotes, issue policy documents, and ensure compliance. Prior knowledge of property law or legal indemnity is advantageous, though not required.

Qualifications

• Law graduates with base knowledge of property law or legal indemnity.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Willingness to train in commercial insurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries from solicitors and brokers, assess risk and prepare quotes.
• Answer follow-up questions, mostly by email.
• Issue final policy documents.
• Work in Microsoft Word and a bespoke IT system with training provided.
• Ensure work is compliant and that clients receive excellent service.
