Job summary

Maxim Recruitment is seeking an early-career Project Controls Engineer to support major UK infrastructure and construction programmes from Bristol. You will help integrate cost, schedule, risk and reporting processes to improve project delivery and decision-making across a range of utilities, rail, energy and defence projects.

The role targets candidates with 1–4 years of experience in cost management, planning, scheduling or project controls, and offers exposure to national-scale programmes

Qualifications

• A degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, project management or related field is desired.
• APM/PMI or similar project management or project controls qualifications would be advantageous.
• Candidates working towards APM/PMI or similar qualifications will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist project controls on major infrastructure or construction programmes.
• Help integrate cost, schedule, risk, change and reporting processes.
• Contribute to monthly project review packs and project performance updates.
• Support development of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and Earned Value Management systems.
• Collaborate with planning, cost, risk and project management teams to ensure joined-up controls.
