Job summary

GENEWIZ UK Ltd in Milton Keynes is seeking an Associate Scientist to join our NGS Lab team. The role provides hands-on laboratory experience across sample processing, library preparation and sequencing using next-generation DNA analysers.

You will work to ISO 15189 and ISO 9001 standards, maintain records, and contribute to team goals. A biology degree is required, with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or related field required.
• Experience with DNA sequencing or NGS preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and work in ISO-aligned lab settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample accessioning, QC, normalisation, library prep and post-prep QC.
• Carry out DNA sequencing using next-generation analysers.
• Maintain records and operate laboratory equipment per SOPs.
