You will work closely with the IT Manager and develop a deep understanding of the organisation’s specialised software and business-critical applications.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues across the organisation.
  2. Deliver friendly, proactive support to users, helping them feel confident using technology and encouraging self-reliance.
  3. Build strong working relationships across the business by engaging with users, understanding their day-to-day tech needs, and helping improve their interaction with IT systems.
  4. Own application support by learning how key systems are used across different teams.
  5. Oversee and maintain IT equipment both within and outside of mobile device management tools (MDM).
  6. Liaise with external IT service providers to ensure smooth service delivery and support outgoing vendor reviews by providing performance insights and addressing service issues.
  7. Manage system monitoring tools and refine alert processes to help identify issues early and maintain system performance.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Proven experience working with outsourced IT service providers, including responsibility for daily case management, communication, and resolution tracking.
  • Solid understanding of core Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, IIS, and SQL Server.
  • Hands-on experience managing email domains, including configuration of aliases, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and security groups.
  • Confident in supporting business-critical applications, with the ability to understand workflows, identify issues, and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Familiarity with wireless technologies and experience in configuring and maintaining secure, stable wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of information security standards, with experience in implementing best practices.
  • Skilled in using ticketing systems to log, triage, prioritize, and resolve incidents or escalate them appropriately in line with SLA commitments.
  • Experience participating in incident response and business continuity planning, supporting operational recovery when required.
  • Strong communicator, able to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach to technology, focused on supporting and enhancing business operations.
  • Highly organized and professional, with the ability to manage and prioritize workloads effectively.
Advantageous Skills:
  • Experience working directly with in-house technology systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Mimecast email security solutions.
  • Proven ability to train and empower users as a software advocate.
  • Experience managing wired and wireless networks through centralized management tools.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 or PCI-DSS.
  • Experience coordinating between internal and outsourced ticketing systems.
  • Availability for ‘on-call’ support duties.
  • Track record of delivering outstanding customer service.
