Job summary

UK Health Security Agency in the South East Region seeks an entry-level Health Protection Practitioner (HPP) to join the Kent, Surrey & Sussex team. You will work within a multidisciplinary group, handling case management, health protection advice, and routine incidents under supervision.

You will develop specialist knowledge, liaise with health professionals and partner organisations, and contribute to the day-to-day health protection function and regional response plans.

Qualifications

• Entry level Health Protection development post with supervision.
• Role targets day-to-day health protection functions and response.
• Will develop specialist knowledge and case management skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, contribute to day to day running of the acute response function.
• Provide first point of contact for health protection advice.
• Undertake initial assessment and management of routine acute response work and non-complex incidents.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior managers.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts and actions.
• Support team case reviews and participate in longer-term issue management.
• Contribute to regional EPRR arrangements and on-call rota.
