Job summary

Applus+ 3C Test, part of the Applus+ Laboratories division in the UK, is seeking an entry-level EMC Test Technician. You will perform EMC tests on customer equipment, set up test systems, and ensure quality and compliance with ISO 17025 and company procedures.

The role requires a basic electrical/electronics background, a willingness to learn, and the ability to commute to shift-based hours. A personal vehicle is preferred, with a Monday–Friday 37.5-hour week and two shifts with no rotation.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; no prior EMC experience required.
• Graduate to enter electromagnetic compatibility field.
• Access to a personal vehicle and able to commute to shift-based hours.
• Shift schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, two shifts with no rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform UKAS-accredited and non-accredited testing on customer equipment.
• Set up and operate EMC test systems and ensure activities meet quality requirements.
• Verify equipment readiness and document testing per quotations and test plans.
• Execute tests following Applus+ 3C procedures and ISO 17025 standards.
• Monitor, maintain and verify calibration of test equipment; record usage and faults.
• Document and report test results; prepare EMC compliance reports as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers on technical and administrative matters.
